Simple High Bun with Braid

Want to look like you spent a lot of time on your hair? Want something simple but sophisticated that looks just as cute with a t-shirt and jeans as it does with a dress? Your hair only has to be long enough to pull a pony on the top of your head and make a bun- simple as that!

brush hair into a high pony tail and secure with elastic band. I prefer the clear elastic ones myself.

leave out one piece the side that is to be left out of the bun. You will create your wrap around braid with this section.

make a bun and secure with bobby pins

braid the section that was left out and loosely wrap it around the base of the bun. secure with bobby pins and voila!- you're done!

Outfit of the Day- Workin' it

Okay so here's a work look. We now have to wear 90% black to work (but you'd better believe we stretch those rules as far as they go- we are hairdressers!) So today I stuck to the rules and then some- I mean black head to toe!

Full outfit. J Crew shirt. I love this shirt so much I have it in white too.  Gap wide leg trouser.  Worishofer 562 shoes.

Hair: High bun (close up pics below) Earrings: Make Pie Not War

Worshofer shoes. They are so insanely comfortable! They have a cork bottom, so they are lightweight.  Here  they are in all their glory on Zappos. I wear them allllll the time. They are actually falling apart- it's time for another pair!!
